Emotional abuse - Difficulty accepting your reality
The seminar broadens the understanding of how different thought, feeling and behavior patterns arise during childhood abuse and how they affect our lives and how to work with them.
During 3 years of intensive work, contact with different people and different mental problems both in my own private practice, in the addiction clinic, in the ISTE project of Jõelähtme municipality and as a co-dependency specialist in the mental health center in Tallinn, led me to understand that I need a structure for psychological work with people in addition to a creative approach. Structure is something that supports the therapist in working with the client.
The main work is with the emotional side, which has been damaged by childhood abuse or has not developed healthily. The structure is the understanding and knowledge of the abuses and the resulting symptoms. It is necessary to thoroughly know emotions and the stories of the origin of these emotions.
Communicating with different people in the field of psychology and social structures, as well as based on my professional experiences, I realized that a seminar like this is crucial to support the work of therapists, experienced counselors, psychologists and other people working with mental health in different fields.
This knowledge gives self-confidence and additional skills in customer work, as well as deeper insights on a personal level. Understanding how patterns of thought, feeling and behavior arise during childhood abuse and how they affect our lives and how to work with them.
The seminar consists of six meetings:
07.03 Emotional Bermuda triangle: fear, shame and guilt.
11.04 Physical abuse and the first core symptom of codependency: difficulty maintaining a reasonable level of self-esteem.
25.04 Sexual abuse and another core symptom of codependency: difficulty with effective boundaries.
09.05 Emotional abuse and the third main symptom: difficulty accepting your reality.
05.06 Intellectual abuse and the fourth core symptom: difficulty taking care of one's needs and desires in adulthood.
17.06 Spiritual abuse and the fifth basic symptom of codependency: difficulty maintaining sobriety and experiencing and expressing reality.
It is a hybrid seminar, which means that you can participate on the spot in the auditorium, as well as via Zoom.
In the first meeting, we focus on the emotional Bermuda Triangle: fear, shame and guilt. The lowest frequency feelings that influence and guide our lives on a daily basis.
In the following five meetings, we will get to know the 5 types of abuse and the 5 basic symptoms of codependency.
Everyone has some of these symptoms, and you don't necessarily have to be a co-addict to suffer from similar issues.
What makes the seminar special is that we end each meeting with a 30-minute hypnotic journey of gong sound, where you can deeply relax and get in touch with your subconscious. There are hidden answers, deep insights and clarity. Gong sounds also have an extremely relaxing and calming effect on the nervous system.

In the training, I use personal and professional experiences and the materials of Pia Mellody, a top specialist in the world of co-dependency.
The seminar will take place in the premises of the Private School of Transpersonal Psychology and Hypnotherapy, Teadlik Mina, Ahtri 8, VII floor, Tallinn.
